*the years may change our faces, bodies, and lives, but there are connections we make early on that remain part of who we are {forever}*
Today I am so thankful for my girlfriends! I was blessed many years ago to meet these girls, all of which came into my life at different times, but each one at a time when I needed them most. We may not get to spend as much time together as we wish, but when we get together you would never know any time had passed.
Tonight, we got together for dinner to catch up and we shared our parenting struggles, and assured each other that this too shall pass, and we reminisced about old times, and laughed so hard the whole restaurant probably hated us. Then we hugged goodbye and traded I love you's, and when I got home this quote from one of my favorite authors popped into my head: "there is nothing more precious in life than friends who know you and love you in spite of yourself" {Nobody's Cuter Than You, Melanie Shankle}. I am lucky to have these girls who know and love the person I was, and the person I am now! Not to mention, laughter and margaritas are a necessity for a happy and healthy life! ;) Cheers to good friends!
