*believe God can : but {trust} Him even if He doesn't*
This is probably one of my biggest struggles - the latter part of this quote. Trusting God when things don't go my way. Yet, when I actually sit down and look at my life and the path that led me to where I am now, not a single thing has been part of my plan. I can't even count the many prayers that I've prayed that have been returned with something completely different. And the thing about it is, God's plan for my life has turned out far better than I could have ever imagined.
I never planned to become a single mother, but if I could do it all over again I would in a heart beat. Being a single mother made me the woman I am now, and I am proud of that woman. I definitely never planned on getting married. Prior to meeting my husband marriage was not at all on my radar, but if I could go back to that day 6 years ago when God dropped him (and his tractor) into my path, I would fall in love with him all over again. I never planned on living the simple life on a farm—I dreamt of the exact opposite. But if tomorrow I had the chance to live the life I thought I wanted, I would say no without regret.
Because God can do anything, but sometimes He doesn't, and on those days when I lose hope, and my patience has run thin—I will trust that whatever God has in store for my future will be even better than any of my best laid plans! Because He is GOOD, even if He says not right now*
