Life: Currently*

LOVING:

The skies proclaim the work of his hands [Psalm 19:1]*

There is something about sunsets that make me so thankful for the work of Gods hands in my life, and in the lives of those I love! {God is Good} ❤️

LISTENING :

I have loved Darius Rucker since he was in Hootie and the Blowfish back in the 90's, and I love him even more as a country music artist! My husband is a huge fan of his too. In our opinion he has one of the best voices on the radio right now. He doesn't need anything but a guitar and a mic and that's my favorite kind of music! All the extra hoop-la going on in country music today-aka Florida Georgia Line- drives me crazy! If you have to rap your lyrics.... you are not a singer, and you darn sure aren't a country music artist. Period. End rant. Back to Darius. His new album is just as good as all his others, and I can listen to his songs over and over and never get tired of hearing them! I am counting down until we hear him live this summer with our friends Brit and Leif!

This song is one that I've had on repeat since his album released last month. It makes me think of my husband every time I listen to it!

Speaking of my hub, I have to show some blog love to my favorite man for a minute. I swear with every day that passes he continues to amaze me with what a wonderful person, husband, and father he is. A few weeks back he started taking Kenz to work with him in the mornings and then dropping her off at school. We have a neighbor who usually gets her on the bus every morning, and has no problem doing it, but Cody said he really enjoyed spending extra time with munchkin. And every day when I pick her up after school I get filled in on all the fun she had that morning. Her favorite thing is going and having "coffee" with all the guys in the office at Harvest Land. They now have a jolly rancher and a cup of hot cocoa waiting for her each morning :) These are the memories she is going to remember years from now! It is the small simple things he does, that he doesn't even realize he's doing, that fill my heart with gratitude for this man that I love so very much!

READING :

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love Melanie Shankle! She won me over yet again with her memoir about friendship, Nobody's Cuter Than You! I laughed, and cried, and smiled at all the memories it brought up from my friendship with my best friend Brittany. And since she tells me all the time how much she loves being mentioned in my blog posts, this one is for her! The other week at church Brittany's mom mentioned something about how long we have been friends, and I said "well, Brit is my soul mate." And we all giggled, but it's true! I don't know what I would do without her! She literally is my other half, I would be lost without our daily phone call(s). We have been through sooo much together through the years! She is that person for me who listens to ALL my stories, and has held my hand through many heartbreaks, and celebrated with me through all of life's big and small joys. She has helped me, and is still helping me, figure out everything life has thrown at me, and I can only hope I have been as good of a friend to her as she has been to me!
